Steria signs €2.5m (£2m) ICT support deal with Cotswold District Council
Steria has announced a five year ICT support partnership with Cotswold District Council. The contract, worth €2.5m (£2m), aims to improve the effectiveness and overall efficiency of the ICT support services for the council's 500 staff.
Steria will be providing a wide range of ICT support services, ranging from desktop and server support to application development and business continuity. The partnership aims to reduce the council's overall ICT spend by 15% helping to free up funds for investment in front line services.
Thanks to the industrialised service model deployed by Steria, which has an ISD (Intelligent Service Desk) at its heart, the upgrade will ensure an improved First Time Fix (FTF) rate for all staff using the service. By reducing the time taken to respond to ICT-related problems the system will enable staff to focus more on front line service delivery, helping benefit the 80,000 citizens living in the region.
The programme will be deployed by a combination of three onsite service delivery staff at the council's main offices in Cirencester, supported by other Steria consultants as required.
Mike Brown, Cotswold District Council's ICT Services Manager says "Steria has a strong pedigree in handling local government and public sector transformation initiatives. Its experience will prove invaluable to us as we implement a service improvement roadmap to continually identify new ways to exploit ICT for business benefit. This will ensure that ICT is providing effective support for the council and that we in turn deliver the best possible services to our customers."
Paul Sellick, Director of Public Authorities Group, at Steria says, "This contract will result in a significant improvement in the way in which the council interacts with and supports its staff. Improving the efficiency of ICT services will enable the authority to invest more in front line services which will ultimately benefit customers from across the region."
"This deal is one of a series of business transformation programmes we are managing across the south of England and we look forward to putting our expertise to work to make a positive difference to how the council operates."
