First quarter 2009 revenue: EUR 396.5m
- Consolidated revenue for Q1 2009 was EUR 396.5m. Like-for-like revenue compared with Q1 2008 was -1.9%.
- Allowing for the Q1 2008 comparison base (notably for the end of the LSC and MyTravel contracts [1]) Group revenue was resilient at the start of a year when many customers were taking a wait-and-see attitude.
- On 31 March 2009, the ratio of order intake to revenue was 1.12 (compared with 1.13 on the same date last year) and the pipeline to forecast annual revenue ratio was similar to that of 30 June 2008.

With Steria, civil servants at SPF Finances are better prepared for the next tax declaration For the first time, the civil servants of SPF Finances will process all the 2008 tax declarations using an important number of ICT systems. Some applications such as TAXI, Calculatrix and BOW have already been developed and used last year, but they will now be implemented for the first time on a large scale. The software systems enable civil servants to process data more quickly and more accurately, avoiding a considerable amount of task duplication by using for example a direct link with the Belgian welfare offices.

The Belgian Federal Police choose Steria and Cogent Systems to provide an innovative fingerprint capture system For its 100th anniversary, the Belgian Police Department's Legal Identification Division is getting an innovative fingerprint capture system. Steria Benelux has been chosen to equip the Technical and Scientific Police Department's Legal Identification Division with a revolutionary fingerprint-capture system. Steria is acting as "prime contractor" for this project. The system will be based on Cogent Systems' new "Automated Palm Print and Fingerprint Identification System" (APFIS). Steria will enable remote connection by installing the FIT (Fingerprint Image Transmission) peripherals required for the capture and transmission of finger and palm prints and traces, and will also be in charge of all necessary integration services.

After several years of fruitful collaboration, HP Software has awarded Steria with Platinum partner status. This is HP highest partnership level.
2008 revenue: EUR 1,765.7m, overall growth +24.7%, organic growth +0.9%
- Consolidated revenue in 2008 were EUR 1,765.7m, an increase of 24.7% compared to FY 2007. The negative impact from exchange rate fluctuations in 2008 was EUR 124.8m [1]. Revenue grew by 0.9% on a like for like basis.
- The fourth quarter 2008 activity was in line with expectations: revenue saw organic growth of 1.0% compared to Q4 2007 and order intake was significantly higher. The order intake to sales ratio was 1.31 in the fourth quarter 2008. As of 31st December 2008 this ratio was 1.07.
- The operating margin [2;3] rate for FY 2008, which was higher than in FY 2007 (7.3%), should be in excess of our previous guidance of 7.5%.
- Thanks to good operating cash flow generation, net financial debt as of 31/12/08 should be below EUR 250m [3] (compared to an initial guidance of EUR 300m). In addition, the book value [3] of the pension fund deficits should be lower than at 30/06/08. Moreover, the banking covenants will be largely respected.
Steria launches in Singapore a new innovation center dedicated to mobility
Within the last 10 years, Steria has deployed numerous innovative services in Singapore, improving the daily lives of 4.5 million Singaporeans and the productivity of the city's businesses.
With 60 Asian and European engineers, the Singapore entity has become Steria's innovation centre for the development of mobility dedicated solutions and services. The centre's expertise lies in its ability to combine the latest communication technologies (RFID, GPS, GSM, M2M...) in order to create innovative services supporting mobility. The vast range of applications covers various subjects such as real time and personalised information for transport times, fleet management, mobility of senior citizens, delivery optimisation and emergency services management.

2008 third quarter revenue: EUR 427.7m, Overall growth +38.7%, Organic growth +3.9%
- Consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2008 rose 38.7% to EUR 427.7m. Like-for-like revenue in the third quarter of 2008 rose 3.9%.
- Every geographic zone experienced organic growth in the third quarter. As forecast, there was a rebound in revenue in France (+5.1%) and the United Kingdom (+1.9%) compared to the trends seen in previous quarters.
- The pipeline is robust: as of September 30 2008 it represented 2.1 times annualised revenue and was 2.4% higher compared to June 30 2008

Steria signs €2.5m (£2m) ICT support deal with Cotswold District Council
Steria has announced a five year ICT support partnership with Cotswold District Council. The contract, worth €2.5m (£2m), aims to improve the effectiveness and overall efficiency of the ICT support services for the council's 500 staff.

First half 2008 Revenue: EUR 878.7m. Overall growth: +35.6%
- Revenue for H1 2008 increased by 35.6% to EUR 878.7m. Excluding perimeter and currency effects, revenue in H1 2008 was nearly the same as in H1 2007 (-0.5%).
- Order entry accelerated during the second quarter and allowed H1 2008 to post a robust ratio of order entry to revenue of 1.08.
- The targeted stable operating margin rate[1] in H1 2008 compared to H1 2007 should be significantly exceeded[2].
- The integration of Xansa continues to be in line with the initial objectives and the banking covenants as of June 30 2008 were well within the levels which were originally defined[2].

Consolidated revenue for Q1 2008 increased by 38.3% to €438.5m.
• Like-for-like revenue was virtually stable (-0.3% compared to Q1 2007).
• In the UK, organic growth based on Steria’s historic perimeter was +8.6%. The revenue trend for the full perimeter notably reflects the expected impact of the non renewal of the Learning and Skills Council and MyTravel contracts.
• In Germany, organic growth was 14.4%.
• In France, Q1 2008 is the last period which will be impacted by the effects of the transformation programme before a return to growth which is expected for Q2 2008.
Steria announces the opening of a new Centre of Excellence for Java Agile Development in Luxembourg
The Steria Centre of Excellence for Java Agile Development opened its doors on April 28, 2008 in the presence of M. le Ministre de la Justice, Ministre du Trésor et du Budget, Sir Luc Frieden and his Excellency the ambassador of France, Sir Charles-Henri d’Aragon.
The purpose of this Java Agile Development Centre is to reach excellence in the development of high quality J2EE applications. By capitalising know-how and industrialisation of the Java development process, this excellence centre will provide to customers a high level service with high reactivity and mission critical capacities in the area of software implementation.
With Steria’s aid the Banque de France has successfully completed migration of the Paris Financial Market to the new TARGET 2 system
The Banque de France has just successfully completed migration of the Paris Financial Market to TARGET 2. Steria was a critical player in this migration from TARGET 1 to TARGET 2 in terms of connecting up the Central bank’s internal systems after completing the entire TARGET 2 SWIFT chain.
• 2007 annual revenue: €1416.2m, + 12.7%
• 2007 operating margin[2]: €103.6m, + 15.7% compared with 2006, representing a margin rate of 7.3% (vs. 7.1% in 2006)
• Operating free cash flow increased by 153.1% to €85.8m vs. €33.9m in 2006. This good performance has enabled the group to reduce net financial debt to €306.9m as of 31 December 2007, with a gearing of 45.3%, below initial expectations.
• Taking into account the confidence of the Group in its prospects, it is proposed to pay a dividend of €0.42 per share for FY 2007.
As the official supplier of IT consultancy services and application management to the ING Renault F1 Team, Steria is helping to improve the team’s racing performance.
Steria provides consulting services to optimise the effectiveness of the SAP solutions used in the engine development area, and develops software capable of analysing the high volumes of data produced by the car’s on-board systems.
The 2008 season starts on 16 March in Australia.
- Consolidated sales in 2007 including 2.5 months from Xansa, were EUR 1416.2m, up 12.2% on 2006.
- Excluding Xansa, Steria’s 2007 sales were EUR 1 306.9m, an organic growth of 4.2% in line with the guidance given at the time of the publication of the Q3 2007 revenue.
- Trading conditions in Q4 were brisk: the pipeline as of December 31 2007 rose by 7.7% over the year and order entry increased by 9.4% on Q4 2006.
- Excluding Xansa, Steria’s operating margin in 2007 , will be higher than 2006 (7.1%). In addition, Xansa’s sales over the 2.5 months in 2007 should generate an operating margin [2] above 7%.
- As of December 31 2007, bank covenants were largely respected. Estimated net financial debt is around EUR 310m and the pension fund deficits [3] both for Steria’s previous structure and Xansa are lower than the last published accounting valuation.
- The integration of Xansa is going according to plan and this allows the Group to confirm cost savings from the acquisition of around EUR 23m in FY 2008.
Steria takes part in the 16th annual NASSCOM 2008 India Leadership Forum from 13 to 15 February 2008 in Mumbai.
Steria will be participating in the NASSCOM 2008 India Leadership Forum entitled "Shrinking the world, Riding the wave." This world-wide event is organized by the Nasscom association and brings together CEOs, CIOs, government officials and other luminaries from around the globe. In Switzerland, Steria develops Customer Instruction Application for HSBC Guyerzeller Bank AG Steria has developed an application for HSBC Guyerzeller Bank AG which automates, facilitates, standardises and minimises validation turnaround time for customers' instructions. Around 150 users, mostly in German-speaking Switzerland, are currently using this new Business Process Management system.
In Denmark, Steria is to provide a digital signature solution for the Midtjylland Region (Central Jutland)
The health personnel in the hospitals of the region of Midtjylland Practical need safe access to a digital signature in particular in order to transfer electronic death certificates to the Health Board and to consult the national and interregional registers such as for example the “Medicinprofil” (medical profile). These requirements bring with them a considerable administrative burden because the region employs a total of several thousand people.
The Public Society for Information and Communication Technologies for the French-speaking community (ETNIC) has chosen Steria to develop a pilot scheme for a software infrastructure to manage and control application access
As part of the modernisation of the public services, the French-speaking community in Belgium has entrusted ETNIC, the Public Society for Information and Communication Technologies with implementing and running its professional applications for a wide range of users (civil servants, teachers, pupils). The challenge entails perfectly managing access to the right resources by the right people at the right time.
In order to manage the various populations of users, Steria is developing a software infrastructure to manage and control identities and authorisations.

Steria strengthens its expertise in Singapore by setting up BusAIS, a real-time system that indicates waiting time between two buses
Steria, an end-to-end IT services partner in Europe and major player in IT in the transport sector, has again been selected by the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) to manage infrastructure and increase comfort for Singapore's users. Using its expertise in deployment of mobile technologies and intelligent transport systems (ITS), Steria has designed and implemented the BusAIS system, which consists of panels in each bus shelter indicating the waiting time between two buses in real time.

The Belgian government calls on Steria to set up "Foreigner@Card", an electronic card for foreign nationals in Belgium. Steria, who provided the IT infrastructure and services used to roll out the original Belgian electronic identity card, is currently adapting these solutions to produce an electronic card for foreign nationals living in the country. Foreigner@Card was designed and will be launched as part of the existing BELPIC (Belgian Personal Identity Card) project. Steria will undertake the adaptations required to create this new electronic card, at central level (National Register) and for he 3 municipalities selected to pilot the new project.

The organic growth in consolidated revenue in the fourth quarter 2006 was 10.7%.
Second half organic growth was 10.8%.
For the year as a whole, revenue grew by 7.4% in organic terms to €1,262 million driven by the performance of the three main geographic zones who each grew by 10%.
The Belgian Ministry of Finance chooses Steria to renovate the application for the tax enrollment of individuals (IPP). As part of the programme to modernise the Belgian Ministry of Finance (SPF Finances), Steria will design the integrated system for calculating and enrolling taxes for individuals. This project concerns the core activity of the Belgian Ministry of Finance. The agreement, which covers a six-year period, totals €3.8 million and will be carried out by Steria acting as the Prime Contractor, in partnership with Software AG and Deloitte.

Depuis le début de cette année, Steria Benelux a déjà engagé 60 nouveaux collaborateurs et portera ce nombre à 100 dans les prochains mois. The Max Planck Society, an internationally renowned German research organisation, chooses Steria Mummert Consulting The Max Planck Society (Max Planck Gesellschaft) has called on Steria Mummert Consulting and its partner ORGA to manage its SAP systems. This contract includes consulting services, project development, migrating the old system to a new SAP platform and managing the new system. The consistently high security standards of the data centre, the high quality services and the compliance with the Society's technical specifications were all factors that led to the contract being awarded to Steria Mummert Consulting.
Steria, the end-to-end European IT services provider and a key reference in delivering IT solutions for the transport business, has planned, developed and implemented a new road traffic supervision system for the Swiss canton of Zurich. The new system, which is set to become the country's biggest of its kind, will go live at the same time as the opening of the first section of the western Zurich bypass.
Steria has signed a 5-year contract to become the strategic IT partner of the ODPM (Office of the Deputy Prime Minister). This new relationship will result in substantial cost savings for the ODPM, as well as improving its operating performance and upping service quality levels, enabling an increasingly flexible work environment. The contract is worth €44 million and will provide robust, yet flexible IT services to over 3,000 users across sites all over the UK. Steria was selected following an intense EU tendering process involving major global competitors including Fujitsu Services and Unisys.
Security consulting: France's civil aviation authority, the DGAC , calls on Steria to study the impact of RFID technology and biometrics on airport access control
At the request of the civil aviation department (STAC ), responsible for airport and aeronautical technical matters for the DGAC's security screening department (DCS ), Steria has carried out a study on migrating the automated access control systems currently in use in France's airports to integrate new RFID and biometric technologies. The migration process will affect the 300,000 airport staff who must prove their identity on a daily basis simply to access their place of work.
Extremadura: flying the flag for the introduction of electronic medical records Thanks to Steria Spain's Civitas solution, patients in the Spanish region of Extremadura now have access to healthcare services and hospitals using personalised healthcards. This solution facilitates the administration and allocation of healthcare resources, thereby improving the quality of care provided to the population.
