Employee shareholding
"Involving employees in corporate life "
With 19,3% of its capital held by employees, Steria is one of Europe’s leading listed companies in this area. Introduced when the company was founded in 1969, the programme is open to all employees and highlights in particular some of the Group's core values: independence, openness and respect.
Steria learnt at a very early stage to communicate transparently with its employees in the same way as with shareholders. Being a shareholder means being involved in the day-to-day running of the company through elected representatives who are consulted for all major decisions affecting the Group's future. It also means being a player in the collective future of the company. Since capital has been opened to all European employees, the Group's shareholding base mirrors its European dimension. This dimension is also reflected in the composition of the "Steering Committee", a think-tank and source of information for employee shareholders which, in addition to its 12 French members, now has four European employees from the UK, Germany, Norway and Spain.
